Foam Air Filters for Automotive & Mobility: What OEMs Look For
Automotive and mobility buyers specify foam air filters when they need high airflow, washable service and geometry that matches a housing drawing. MeshFLO manufactures finished foam elements for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, buses and commercial vehicles — including private-label programmes.

Why foam works in engine air intake
Reticulated foam offers low pressure drop with strong dust-holding capacity. In many intake systems it is used as a primary or pre-filter stage, protecting downstream media and keeping engines breathing freely under dusty Indian operating conditions.
What to include in an OEM enquiry
To quote accurately we need the housing dimensions or sample, target PPI range, preferred colour, expected annual volume and whether the part must ship under your brand. Prototypes can be cut before tooling is frozen.
- Drawing or physical sample
- PPI / density preference
- Polyester or polyether family
- Packaging and private-label needs
Frequently asked questions
Do you make cabin air (paper) filters?
No. MeshFLO focuses on reticulated foam filtration — engine intake foam elements, industrial foam filters and die-cut foam components — not paper cabin filters.
